Horizon

  • Year — an annual theme or specific outcome.
  • Life — long-horizon aspirations. Review yearly.

Structure

  • Why — a short statement of the "north star". Re-read often.
  • Milestones — checkpoints with their own progress %.
  • Linked work — tasks and habits you've attached to the goal.
  • Status — On-track / At-risk / Off-track, set by you or inferred.

Drift

Cairn watches your goals quietly. If a milestone hasn't moved in two weeks (or a linked habit's streak breaks), you'll see an at-risk nudge during your weekly review.

Reviewing

At the end of each month, Cairn can draft a goal review using your task and habit history. With Pro, the assistant suggests one concrete next step for any at-risk goal.
